Worcester Cathedral Come and Sing Afternoon Date: 23 April 2005 Time: Rehearsals: 1:30pm - 5:00pm Evensong: 5:30pm - 6:15pm Over eighty young people joined Worcester Cathedral Choristers to sing Evensong on 23 April 2005. This was the culmination of a ‘Come and Sing’ afternoon for young people aged 7 - 16 run by Worcester Cathedral Arts. Participants worked with Adrian Lucas, the Cathedral's Organist and Master of the Choristers, to develop their singing skills and learn the music they would sing at Evensong. Many of the young people had never sung in the Cathedral before. One young person wrote, “I liked it when the choir came in and everyone was singing in parts and harmony.” The activity was so successful that Worcester Cathedral Arts plans to hold annual singing days for young people.
